I started using EZStamp software for my French collection. I would like to enter, in addition to the Scott number, either the Yvert & Tellier or the Ceres number. Would anyone knows where I can find a file that contains Scott number and the equivalent Yvert & Tellier and/or Ceres number.

Thanks in advance

Catalogue number conversion has always been tricky business. I don't think such a guide exists, and if it did, Amos legal would probably hunt it down and get it turned off.

And this really is why we need one universal numbering system to rule them all. Problem is, we can't get there, because nobody will probably license their numbers to a conversion guide.

The two catalogues are organised in different ways with Scott separating regular issues from semi-postals, airs etc so it is not a simple task.

This website does have images of all issues with Y+T no.s if it helps - http://www.timbres-de-france.com/co...l-france.php

To what extent do the Ceres and Y&T numbers diverge? Those I have checked were identical, but can I count on them being the same if I bring a wantlist to France? I use an old Ceres album, so those are the numbers on the blank spaces.
