My Grandmother had the good fortune and foresight to collect these items. Although there is another thread on Zep covers, I thought I would start one specific to LZ 127.

The first flight was September, 1928. I believe that the first two covers, front and back, were from the maiden voyage.

Later on, a flight back to England (one side only ... back was torn off)

Then, continuing onto Germany. (A very, very faded cache, unfortunately.)

I guess there was a side-trip to Sweden.

Then a nice item to Grandpa on the USS Pecos in Chefoo, China.

And, finally, a nice Austrian addition.

Wonderful covers with a wide range of highlights.!
Covers mailed to family and retained after 85 years are a clear indication of family history.
Just a few standouts I notice are Elizabeth Arden (3 different countries), Yale University, U.S.S. Pecos and of course some nice stamps.!
Thanks for sharing.!

Hi Robby,

There is quite the family history with Elizabeth Arden and their competitor. See the following links for some interesting reading:

A burned cover can be seen here, though I incorrectly identify my Grandma as having worked at Elizabeth Arden:

The more complete story can be found here, where it shows that TJ Lewis (one of my relatives) was involved in the Arden/Rubinstein feud:

However, I find the USS Pecos cover the most interesting and wish there was more information on that one.

Thanks, Stampcrow. The C15 just arrived today. I got it for a very reasonable price. Have my eye on a few others. Will post them soon if I can get them!

This one is still the favorite in my collection. The late use Columbus is unique for me. The history of Heinrich Koehler, is a bonus.

I love that cover and the cries of outrage it sparked when you posted it.
