Great Britain. Sorry, should have specified. That's why I'm looking for Stanley Gibbons numbers.

Hi apastuszak,

Should be:
Set of 11 - SG3437 to SG3447
Booklet of 3 - SG3448 to SG3450
Booklet single with margin - SG3452

SG's site is hopeless, a total mess. Got these from Rowan S Baker's site, www.british-stamps.com

There is no booklet of 3 that I can find. And what is the booklet single with margin?

I see 11 stamps, one strip of three and two strips of four.
One miniature sheet with 5 stamps (1 tardis and four villains)
One booklet with 6 stamps (2 doctors and 4 tardises)
One general sheet with 20 tardis stamps.
Prestige stamp booklet with all the stamps in it in some form.

They are on the site I posted the link to. Described as three booklet singles and one booklet single with margin respectively.

The first three booklet stamps shown by Terry are the three different designs in the retail booklet of six "1st" stamps (4 of the Tardis, and 1 of each of the two Doctors shown).

The second Tardis stamp is taken from a pane in the the prestige stamp booklet. The pane has four Tardis stamps, 4 Machins each of a different value and a label with a different Tardis design. I expect the Machins are new stamps.

I believe the two Tardis stamps shown are printed by different printers.

This is what Royal Mail sent me when I ordered the first class booklet:

Ok, now about the prestige stamp booklet. How do British collectors collect these? I'd like to remove the pages with stamps and mount them on pages, but I don't know if this is going to reduce the value.

Half the pages with stamps in the booklet are perforated for easy removal; the other half do not.

Not sure what to do here.

It seems that Royal mail are now offering so many collector options that not even they can properly keep track of them. I am beginning to have some sympathy for Stanley Gibbons.

Yes, this is always the problem with booklets, especially those with multiple panes.

If you explode them you can display the separate panes and information pages but you destroy the booklet in doing so; otherwise you have a booklet that you can't look at without handling it.

At least the 1st class retail booklet you've shown displays nicely as you have scanned it.

The prestige booklet also has double sided pages, at least for the pages that don't have stamps on them. How do Stanley Gibbons albums deal with these booklets?

Generally speaking, the 'exploded' panes will have more value as a set than the unexploded booklet. Just look on any dealer list, ebay or auction site.
I used to buy two booklets and keep one whole and seperate the other but it became too expensive when Royal Mail [Bless 'em] decided to start issuing more than two a year. It became too much.

If you want to explode the booklet to display it and keep the value at the same time then there is only one way to do it [I did it for member Partime, he knows !]. You must carefully open the booklet around the middle page and bend it back as far as you can without doing any damage. The thread will be revealed. Now take a very sharp [new blade] japanese knife [or similar] and cut the thread all the way along being careful NOT to touch the pages.
Then slowly pull the pages apart. Prestige booklet panes have much more value and are more sought after if they have stitch-holes.You will often see them advertised as such.
It is not difficult, just take it slowly.
