Here are images of miniature sheets I & II issued by Denmark to publicize the HAFNIA '76 International Stamp Exhibition. All stamps engraved by Czeslaw Slania, frames photogravured.

2D Barcodes - so that's what those are, Kirk! A friend of mine had something similar on some new business cards, and I wondered what it was... Interesting idea... I suppose you could use them on personalised stamps. Food for thought...!

Here are images of a couple of stamps-on-stamps designed by Danish artist Holger Philipsen (1912-1993), engraved by Czeslaw Slania combined with offset printing, and issued by Faroes on May 7, 1979, Scott Nos. 43 & 44, Facit Nos. 45 & 46. Note the cross pattern printed in the background on both stamps.

I like those Faroe ones, nethryk.

Actually the original stamp without the overprint (Denmark #97)
was printed only typography not recess engraving.

I suppose by 1979 Posts Stamp Printing Works had junked their
old typography presses.

For this Austrian one the printers used the same print method (photogravure)
for the stamp on stamp as was used for original.
