Very nice, thank you.
From the distance I had thought it might be an elf of some sort.

Tony Shamon has published a fine slim book on these envelopes:

Letters from Santa - A Catalogue of Canada Post Santa H0H 0H0 Stationery.

I believe it is self-published and can be ordered from him directly. I have his email address but I understand that it is improper to post it here. Feel free to email me.

Here is the latest Letter-to-Santa reply envelope (2014)

Not very celebrated in the philatelic world, these envelopes have brought a reply from Santa Claus every year since 1982.

After 2005 the indicia have been the current secular Christmas stamp (like regular postal stationery) and pre-cancelled at the North Pole (like commemorative envelopes)

For the last two years, however, Mrs. Claus has graced the corner.

Oops! I hear that Tony Shaman's booklet (previously mentioned) is no longer in print!

The Christmas Study Group of BNAPS has been gathering this information as well (Tony is a member) and as soon as we get around to it, we'll publish a newsletter that includes it. What a great opportunity to join BNAPS.org and use your first-year-free Study Group certificate to join our little (but growing) study group!

If this study group would get off the ground, there might be a good opportunity to trade extras.

Send me a message, sak, and tell me how you can help. Only members willing to do the work can get a study group off the ground. You would be most welcome to share that work.
