I put together a small envelope for first class USA mailing, and weighed it at 3 plus oz. I looked up the postage needed online and it was $1.72. So I figured I would put 4 of the "forever" stamps on the envelope - assuming that each was now valued at 46 cents, and 46x4 equaled $1.84, exceeding the required amount.

But then I started thinking..... is my assumption correct? Are each of the "forever" stamps valued at the current first class postage rates (now 46 cents), or ???

From USPS.com: "Forever stamps are always equal in value to the current First-Class MailŪ one-ounce rate."
