Hi

Has anyone looked at the prices at Maresh auction Nov sale. Wow full SCV or near. I have been selling way too cheap. Also Eastern auctions has a mail auction. I was looking at the bids already and the prices are very high.

Also 192 is Jumbo VFNH estimate at approx 10 times Unitrade or prices like US PSE SMQ. Is this going to happen in Canada also. 10x book for grades over 90?

I buy collections. And the collection are getting better. And in the nicest homemade albums ever. I like hingless Linder. But homemade is similar to your mom's cooking.

Maybe it's just me, but better items at auction always seem to fetch stronger prices than retail or online like ebay. Part of it is the clientele that is drawn to auction (more serious collectors with money) and part of it is the emotional element which results in higher prices being paid. I can't say whether this is unusual but I suspect it is pretty normal.

If you have better items ie. more than a few hundred $ I would consider consigning them with a reputable auction house vs selling on ebay etc. where well below catalogue is expected and typical.
