So, I am not sure why the previous owner wrote in pencil $40 on the back of this pair of stamps. The stamps themselves are cheap so maybe the postmark is something I don't know about. Anyone with any ideas-------- or was the previous owner simply on drugs??? Thanks in advance as always - Jeff
Can't see anything special about these in Gibbons, although it does price them at 20p each. Perhaps the previous owner was using his or her own special exchange rate to convert the Gibbons values.
I think we should just chalk it up to "I don't know and it probably isn't worth bending my brain about", although it did make a nice addtion to the book with a nice cancellation as well. Thanks to everyone that looked, and especially those that took the time to comment. - Jeff
