Flour? I've never considered flour to be much of a solvent. How well does that work, or do you have to mix it with the other things to get an effect?

I didn't explain myself clearly enough, sorry. I use the flour in the final drying process when I've removed most of the self adhesive from the stamp using lighter fluid. The flour which is natural prevents the stamp from sticking to the mount. Before I put the stamp into the mount I brush any excess off of it. When I get my act together I'll photograph the entire process.

I've heard of people using talcum powder to prevent self-adhesive stamps from sticking to mounts or album pages. I would be a bit weary of using flour as it might attract critters like mice or insects which will wreck havoc on a collection.

For the miniscule amount that I am using I'm really not worried about that at all.
I live in a clean enviroment and have no issues with roaches, mice, termites, or bedbugs.
