Thanks. It since occurred to me that the OP is a beginner, and thus should have a beginner album. It's easy for the rest of us to look at the album question from the perspective of where we're at today, but I'd venture to guess that pretty much all of us started off with a beginner album of some sort. Had you given me a Scott International or a bunch of Steiner pages when I first started, I'd have been overwhelmed.

I started out with the Harris Statesman also. Now, I am using the amos pre-printed pages I printed from online and the quadrilled pages from the Steiner site. It is easier on the budget and supply side. I have to mail order all stamp supplies I need. It's a pain to run out of pages and have to wait a week or two for them to come in the mail.
