Looks like and overinked example. What I do find curious is the missing frame line on the right of the right "2". Could you show a picture of the whole stamp ?

Notice that the lower left bar on the right 2 looks as though it is shifted about 10 degrees left. I think you are right about being over-inked Coriandre. Here is the full stamp.

If it is a plate issue there will other examples with the same flaw (I assume that you have already checked catalogs).

You can use search engines to perform an image search for Canada #127, search ebay for the same. Look at as many images of this stamp as you can and see if you can find others with the same flaw.

If you have the only one, then it is an inking issue. If you can find others and this isn't listed by authorities in the field, get it certified and start submitting it to major publishers/ authorities and see if you can get it listed.

I have a better picture of the RNB and there appears to be a circular mark in the paper below the left side of the 2. The lower right serif of the right 2 looks smaller then that of the left 2. It also looks like the ink in the corner of the LR serif is thiner with an angle separating the depth of it. There is also a line into the middle of the stem of the leaf above the UL corner of the NB. There are also two vertical lines in the lower leaf vein on the leaf closest to the left frame line. A line in the N-CANADA & top inner picture frame. If this is a re-entry the chances of finding another are slim since Unitrade says that there is only one known. I am including a picture of the collar just to show the beautiful intricacy this stamp. Knowledgeable opinions please.

I see no indications of a re-entry...I see a lot of heavy over inking and ink smears...When I was working as a lithography for years, this happen a lot on a run until you got the ink distribution correct...I have a few stamps around the same year that look like what you have here..I almost guarantee you DO NOT have a re-entry...But why dont you send your scans to Ralph at www.re-entries.com...He is the expert..He will tell you one way or another if you have a genuine re-entry.

P.S. if indeed they used Linotype slugs on platnam presses back then (which I think they did)..It was no unheard of to see even postcards, brochures and other forms of printing to have the same effect that you have on this stamp.

P.S. Linotype slugs are individual slugs .918 inches long with letters or numbers at one end for printing purposes.
