Looks like one has to be carefull how they affix a stamp on an envelope so the wrong message is not set out.

I'm actually not 100% positive? I am inclined to say that it is a Type I. but there seems to be plenty of room for the perforations (sans the bottom) so it could be a Type II. but again, it has all 4 frame-lines? I feel like I should know this..ugh!

Your stamp does not show inner framelines so methinks Type I.

Because of the narrow margins (of Type I.), finding an example with a complete design (not cut into by the perforations) can be a challenge. One can usually see one frame line, either at the top or bottom of the design.

Al,

Blood's used acid to prevent re-use; the acid permanently defaced the stamp.
