We now have a new forum in the General Section, Stamp Production Processes.

I've also moved the contest forums from the General Section to the SCF Family Section.

Thanks to Bobby for doing this.

And FYI for everyone else, the new forum is in response to a well-reasoned member request asking for an area dedicated to "the technical aspects of stamp collecting such as printing methods, types of presses, paper, gum types, etc."

Thank you very much Bobby for the new Stamp Production Processes
section.

Just to clarify, when you say

does that mean that any existing old threads which would
are purely of a technical nature can be moved into this new section?

Exactly. Just hit the link and say something like "Move to new forum" then the Staff will move them as they see them.

Thanks again Bobby, I just sent 3 request for having
existing threads moved over.

I suppose it would be impossible to split posts off threads
and move them?

For instance in the Engravers thread there are many posts
which are really more into technical detail than any
specific engraver.

I'm just asking and don't want to push the issue since
I for one really appreciate for what you have done already.

Well we can split off posts but unless they are not intertwined at all you could end up with 2 topics that suffer from the split.
