Not that it matters but your measurement is 1/2 - 1mm off. The outside of the frameline should be even with the measuring device outside line of the "0" mark.

LOL Gracie don't give up!
But, I would add, if your only intention in this hobby is to find the rarest stamps then you will have many many many more disappointments then celebrations.

Gracie, no collector in the world can positively identify every Stamp in the world. Understand that some of the collectors replying to your questions have been studying these same Stamps you show for 20+ years. If you have 40,000 Stamps and 39,999 are common everyday stamps and there is 1 gem in there then you've done well.

See if there is a local stamp club in your area. It is always easier to learn when you have someone showing you things in person.

I looked, I think there is one that meets once a month.
I will have to go to it.

Don't feel bad gracie, I am in the same boat, can't seem to get the basics either. I do not have nearly as many stamps as you do though. I have one little shoe box, getting a few stamps at a time to fill it up. Hoping soon to be able to start putting them in some sort or album. I hope there is a stamp club you can get involved in. We don't have one where I am.
