Texpex 2014 February 28-March 2, 2014

I will be exhibiting my ASTP collection at TEXPEX 2014. Anybody going to the show, check it out and let me know what you think of my exhibit.

I will be going up to TexPex....

I too will be attending this show, since I live only 10 minutes away I can pop in and out often.

John Macco I will look for your display. Since I collect only Canadian and I am acronym challenged I don't know what ASTP stands for. Probably something easy but over my head...lol

This is one one of those shows I'd love to attend if it was a couple of months later. I love driving vacations, and Dallas would be about a 24-hour one-way trip. To add to the fun, if I take the long way home, I could visit 9 or 10 states I've never been to, if you call driving through without stopping a "visit". But with the way this winter has been, there's no way I'd make a trip like that. I know they wouldn't want to do the show in August but if it was in April or May, I'd consider it. (I know I could do it with a three-hour flight, but in some ways, the journey is as much fun as the destination).


And I think ASTP is Apollo-Soyuz Test Project

Did not see any ribbons. For a collector of Canada I can go through the dealers fast. Prices are very high.

BTW if you want to come to Texas when the weather is nicer (everywhere hopefully) There is OKPEX in Oklahoma City June 20-21. Greater Houston stamp show. Sept 19-21 and Mid cities stamp expo NOV 8-9, this is about 2 miles away from today's show. Both are 10 minutes from DFW airport

For most shows, ribbons are posted Saturday morning and the special awards (Grand, Reserve Grand, and any specialty society awards) are usually announced during the awards dinner/lunch. They usually type up and distribute the complete list at this event. You might be able to get someone to send you a copy on Sunday.
