While I was listing the issue year 2000: 100 Years of Australia 1st Victoria Cross(image below) on Tuesday the 18th February 2014 I was watching the News and a special live broadcast come on at the same time as I was listing the said stamps and it was the ceremony of Australia's 100th Victoria Cross awarded that went to the parents of Corporal Cameron Baird who was killed in action.
Corporal Baird, 32, was killed as he led repeated assaults on an insurgent stronghold in southern Oruzgan Province Afghanistan on June 22 last year 2013.

It made me stop and think...........The Timing........

Lest We Forget!
