Any Interest In World Postal Stationery?

Here's a 1922 postal card from Geislingen a.D. Steige that has been surcharged and uprated:



Another from Germany that commemorates Goethe -



..and another postal reply card that was to be used by Russian & Ukrainians in Labor/P.O.W. camps



and for something completely different..Russian postal card to the U.S. - 1917 with a postage due handstamp and what I believe is a partial censor handstamp.

Here is a nice Jugoslavia (Yugoslavia) airmail envelope circa 1951.

It was a considerate gesture to write the country name in both alphabets, Latin and Cyrillic.

I've seen quite a few French pneumatic letter cards, but here's a German pneumatic postal card - Rohrpostkarte

I do find Mexican postal cards to be quite attractive (even if this one is a bit foxed and toned)

Can someone help me with this card?

This is a card issued for the Indian State of Travancore-Cochin, formed basically by amalgamating the former States of Cochin and Travancore in 1949, after Indian independence in 1947.

I suspect it's not a genuine usage, however. The card was issued on 14 December 1950, and was valid for postage anywhere in India, or appropriately franked, anywhere in the world. So far so good: the card could have travelled to Surat, which was outside the territory of Travancore-Cochin. However, the rather too clear date on the CDS is 19 CHI(NGAM) (1)115 ME, which is equivalent to 2 March 1940 CE - over 10 years before the card was issued.

The blue object next to the indicium is a copy of a ½ Anna blue Scinde Dawk. No possibility that it's genuine. The real thing is currently catalogued at £35,000 mint and £9000 used.

Taken all in all, the card has been made up to fool collectors. There were large numbers of these cards left over when the Travancore-Cochin Post Office was closed down and merged into the Indian Post Office in 1951. This was probably one of those remainders, which someone has tarted up with an old Travancore State cancellation.

I'm sorry I can't show you a genuine usage of Travancore-Cochin postal stationery going out of the State/overseas, but this cover was sent during the relevant period, to Ireland.

Even though they are "Formular" Airletters, they are still Postal Stationery. 2 were sent in 1963 and 2 sent in 1964.

It is also interesting to note that there are different varieties of the Canadian military stationery items that PoStat4ever posted. Canadian military mail in general is one of my specialties. These stationery forms are a great source for different military cancellations.
