Here is a unused copy of a Great Britain (H&G) I-2 postal card, issued 1914. This card was for the British military personnel fighting in WW1. I enjoyed the rear side. There is another thread on these cards going on, and it appears that the card was used by a bunch of other countries as well. Oh well, just thought I would share.... |

Queen Padmé Amidala United States, 2007 (Scott #UX497) One of the U.S. postal cards honoring the Star Wars movie franchise. I'm not particularly a fan of Episode I: The Phantom Menace (Little Anakin is annoying, and Jar-Jar even more so), but I am a fan of actress Natalie Portman. |

This 20 lei King Michael postal card of Soviet-occupied Romania is from very near the end of the war. It was mailed from Bucharest to Lugoj in the far west of the country. Correspondence was written on April 29, 1945 and postmarked on May 3. Boxed censor stamp is "23 CENZURA 7 LUGOJ 23". Large blue "T" indicates underpaid/postage due. |

German postal card commemorating the 70th anniversary of the introduction of the postal card in Austria-Hungary on 1 October 1869. (Keep in mind that Austria was part of the German Reich in 1939.) The Michel Ganzsachen-Katalog Deutschland 1980 says that this card was planned to be released at a special exhibition on 1 October 1939, but the exhibition and the release were cancelled, due to the outbreak of World War II. After the war, some of the unissued cards that were stored in Vienna "fell into the wrong hands" and thus entered the market. |

This 50 kopeck Soviet airmail postal stationery was franked with 1.70 rubles additional postage. It was mailed registered airmail (2.20 rubles) from Tallinn, Estonia (USSR) to Uncasville, Connecticut, USA on 28 February 1989. The additional postage includes the complete set of the Calgary Olympics stamps, plus the 50k. stamp from the Calgary Olympics souvenir sheet. This is very probably philatelic mail, but interesting nonetheless. |
