Yugoslavia: Scott catalogue #3L24a, 3L25a, 3L26a, 3L28b, 3L29a, 3L30b, 3L31b; Roulette x Perf. 11-1/2.
Scott fails to mention what kind of roulette! Serrate roulette like some previous issues? Straight roulette like on some other previous issues?
A previously unlisted roulette?
Clear pictures would help.

put up a scan of what you have, someone here will be able to help you .Scott says two sides should perforate at 11 1/2 if you got those stamps. |

You can't collect early Yugoslavia /Slovenia using Scott catalog. There is a lot left out for the specialist ,like different perforations and paper . Color shades are all over the place.

Any members have Revenue Catalogue ? The arms look like Yugoslavia, could not see the arms in a shield with crown on the web. Any ideas? Thanks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For the record, a member (manukado?) posted a revenue recently solved by Kuhli Here is another Taksena Marka signpost |

Hi Rod,
This is Yugoslav revenue from 1927, Barefoot #90.
The shield at the top consists of the arms of Serbia, Croatia and Slovenia and in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia's arms this shield was shown at the centre of the arms over an eagle.

Here's the full shield from Wikipedia: This appears on some other stamps of this set. I'll try to scan some. |

Yes, I saw that on Google, Nigel. I thought the absence of the eagles, and the Crown, had some significance. (From my forays into similar arms issue changes of Spain)
After all these years, I still find Yugoslavia perplexing.
Thank goodness for catalogues.
J.T.Carrigan was the "go to man" for Yugoslavia.

Here's are five of the low values from a long set of fourteen stamps: There are another six similar designs used in this set but these are all I have so far. Yes, I agree with you, I really miss Jay's posts. |
