Wert, the only color shift I see is the blue dot on her troat. (Could it be the rare missing silver?

wert

I just happened to have a pane of 30 sitting on my desk.

It appears that the worst is the bottom left stamp and the best is the top right.

Here are a couple of images from the pane.

The true 704i "Missing silver 25" looks like this one - no indication of a "25" at all.

I'm also interested in the black mark on her throat. Is it there from the printing process or dirt or an-after printing ink mark?

Blackjag..I have taken a closer look at the mark on her neck and in comparison it is about the same colour as the silver "25cent" denomination of the stamp...It is not loose, seems to be printed on the stamp itself.

Wert - why is it solid on the top image but not on the newer one you have posted?

Perhaps some of the silver fell onto the plate at that spot.

Blackjag...I believe it was taken at an angle that did not reflect the silver colour...The second picture shows the silver better...Hey, does look as thought a fleck of silver transferred to the neck region..doesn't it..??
