If you have not yet tried, first determine if the issue is with the disk or the drive. CD drives can and do 'wear out' (laser grows weak) and the first symptom is that they will have a hard time reading a 'home made' CD. It may also be that some dust has gotten on the lens in the CD drive. So try the disk in another drive.
If the disk doesn't read in a second drive, look closely at the disk itself. Does it have scratches or have flakes/chips impacted the coating? If the disk is in good physical condition than there should be reason for it to not be read by the drive. don
