This was forwarded to me via RMPL. I figured this group is as online savvy as they get!

RMPL Members and friends:
Below you'll find two requests, one from APS Vice-President Alex Haimann, and a second by a Washington University Graduate Student.
The gist of the requests is that you complete a survey.
Please, do so if you don't mind. It'll help a team of graduate students and may help shed some light on folks engaged in collectibles and stamp collecting. Your insight will contribute to the size of the population surveyed, and hopefully thereby better validate the results. And do bear in mind that the survey originators ARE NOT experts in survey design and market research, but are simply trying to gain a better insight/entre into those fields.
If you get this late from me (by April 6th), I just haven't been able to send it to all RMPL members and associates as early as I should have – in part because I've had to been manually reentering 1000 e-mail addresses over the last week or so into a new computer – and I don't have 600 of them done yet for the many bcc's going out.

Hello Fellow Stamp Collecting Members,
As some of you know, I work for an experiential learning center at Washington University's business school in St. Louis. We do research projects on different industries as well as consulting projects for companies around the world.
A graduate student team of mine is doing a research project on the collectibles industry in the United States. They are seeking information on buyer and seller preferences throughout a variety of collecting areas including Stamp Collecting.
My students have prepared a quick online survey that I would be most appreciative if you would consider completing. Survey Here: http:// (Offsite URL shortening not allowed) /1dIdj2k
All survey responses are completely anonymous. Thank you very much for your help with this student team's project.

Subject: Students Requesting Help for Project About Collectibles
Good afternoon!
I am a graduate student working toward my MBA at Washington University in St. Louis, and I'm currently working on a team project that requires researching the U.S. collectibles market. As part of our research, my teammates and I are asking collectors to fill out a survey about their interests and preferences.
I found your email on the American Philatelic Society website, and I'm wondering if you would be willing to send out the following survey link to the collectors in your local APS chapter. It is an easy, online survey that should only take 10 - 15 minutes. All responses will be completely anonymous, and the feedback from your chapter members would be immensely helpful for my team!
The survey will be active through Monday, April 7 at the following link:
