The Badger Stamp Club, of Madison, Wis., is offering a set of cacheted covers in conjunction with the Civil War theme of DANEPEX '14 to be held on April 13. One cover depicts Arthur MacArthur Jr. as Civil War "boy" colonel. The other cover depicts the older MacArthur as brigadier general. Young Arthur MacArthur Jr. lived in Milwaukee, Wis., when the Civil War broke out. The cancel features Confederate and Union flags. Each cover is franked with one of the 2013 Civil War stamps. To mail order send $3 ea. to Curt Shawkey, 610 Malvern Hill Dr., Madison, WI 53718. Make checks payable to Badger Stamp Club and include a No. 10 SASE.
