I think we should establish an album exchange between members of this board, so that members could trade albums with someone just to take a look at what they have and make some comments.

I have about six albums and want to sell them eventually, but it is so hard to part with them when they deserve so much more study.

This could also be done with software files if you want to take the time to photo every stamp.

Ooooh! Trust issues along with mailing cost issues. It may be better to meet, greet, and comment at some agreed upon location. I'll await other comments on this subject, but interesting.

Well, let's say that I value my album anywhere from $70-$100 and then you admit that you have one about the same value, then we trade and

No results. We don't learn anything.

But I might try to tell you where you may have some strengths or put a little research into it even though I didn't research my own any more.

I was a bit disappointed with Rakium software because I took the photos and trusted the software to tell me the perforations and then I got a gauge and the software was wrong.

But it is fun to find stamps in the wrong places. . . . .

Hi,
Another member (lives on the other side of the big pond) and I are in the process of exchanging stamps - in bulk. He is sending me several hundred pre 1960 stamps, and I will return to him a comparable number of post 1960 stamps. Of course this exchange is built on trust and honesty, and I have no problem with doing that.

I would love to find someone to trade in bulk my pre 1960 world wide and a large selection of USA duplicates for pre 1960 worldwide issues as well.

Yes, well over 500 pre 1960 world, and, 500 plus USA (pre 2000), including BOBs. More than half are pre 1960.

They are sorted by country for world wide, and by Scott number groupings for the USA.

Hi again......... I mis-wrote on the previous post.

The world wide stamps are closer to 1500, the USA 500 plus.

Here's one I thought might be worth something. This King is still reigning, though at quite an elderly age, and this style of photo in his youth is particularly colorful. I may have overpriced it at $25 and it didn't sell.

I only have 30 pre-1960 and I think I need those to start a little collection (not organized yet).

Just going by ebay sales. Maybe I should post it for sale again as there are two bids on one for $32.89. And then you get the listing on ebay for 9 of these stamps, "buy it now" for $10.99 $3.00 shipping. Or how about 12 of them for even less?

I value it for its color and youthful appearance of a King that has held a long reign.
