Here is a nice copy of the Major Re-entry from Pane B, Pos. 61. Note the nice pre-printing crease. Enjoy!

Hi wert, The circled area is part of the re-entry. The area that is affected by the pre-printing crease is white. This is caused by the paper not getting ink during the printing due to the paper fold. If you look closely at the widest area of white at left you can see an offset of the oval bands in the design that would normally print as a smooth oval. Pre-printing creases are rare and some are even more striking than this one.

Wert, This is a pre-printing crease it runs all the way across the stamp. When paper is folded over and pressure is applied you create a crease. I am not sure what has occurred on your stamp but if there is no crease it is something else.

In that case watermark you have yourself a great re-entry...Have you sent it to anyone like say Ralph at http://www.re-entries.com/ to have it looked at and maybe placed on his website for others to see..?

Ya, looking at you stamp again the crease is in a very straight line which a crease would show up as..good stamp watermark.

Hey, if you want to send it back to Canada, I will pay the shipping charges...haha

Hi wert, Many of my stamps are on Ralph Trimbles' www.re-entries.com. I have sent this one to him but it will be up to him if he lists it there. I have been corresponding with Ralph for many years even before using the computer I used to mail him stamps for his opinion.

Nice stamp watermark!

wert, your 1c Centennial is a listed variety (on a booklet stamp). (Listed that is in Robin Harris' Centennial book and the Centennial group newsletters).

I believe it was listed as an inking error.

Nice to see the pre-printing fold in the paper, watermark. Thanks for sharing.

The offset in the oval's lines shows it clearly.
