Can someone show me Michel 455a and 455b side by side please?

I cannot understand the difference between schwartzlichgun and schwartzlicholivgrun!

Is there a color key like SG has for UK stamps?

Thanks
Joe

My 2013 catalogue does not show the difference side-by-side, but I can briefly summarize. 455a is "blackish green" and 455b is "blackish olive-green". I hope that helps!

There is a color guide/key for both SG and Michel, although I don't know how accurate they are.

SG: http://www.stanleygibbons.com/stanl...9846/SG34391

Michel: http://www.lindner-usa.com/literatu...nfuhrer.html

The Michel guide is considerably more expensive. I have the Michel color guide, but haven't used it yet.

Hopefully someone will post the stamp images as that is the cheapest route.

I wasn't able to find a scan of both colors, so here's the best I can do -- a side-by-side comparison of swatches from the Michel color guide. Interestingly enough, the Michel color guide doesn't list schwarzolivgrün (black olive green), so I went with the nearest color, schwärzlicholivgrün (blackish olive green). Not sure how much good it'll do you due to variations in monitors, scanners, etc., but it's worth a shot.

Whoa! The Michel color guide sure is more expensive! I got an old SG one on ebay in a lot of miscellaneous stamp books for $15.

PostmasterGS, I think that is the best help that I could hope for, next to a scan of the stamps next to each other. :) Darn Germans and their specificity.

Thanks guys
