Hi, I have a few Harrison Paper Fruit Tree Booklets with a lot of spots on the gum. I'm wondering if this is common as it's just on the Harrison Paper types? What's the cause of it? Are they damaged stamps?

I'd appreciate any insight into it all! Thanks TK

The Harrison PVA gum had a cream appearance and was striped (1972-1973) and the next type of gum with PVA-Dextrine had blue stripes [1973-1974]. After that all Harrison gums had blue spots or dots! The colour had been added to tell the stamp had gum at all or otherwise you would not know whether it was gummed or not! :)

groetjes, Rein
