I had a lot of fun reviewing the Australian King George V varieties

https://goscf.com/t/7020

Now, while looking through my various items, I see that Queensland could be just as interesting. When I look at the 1p Red, I see several types, but want to first look at the 1897-1900 version, with the (4) 1's in the corners (watermark small crown and Q). Here is a grouping of only a few from my collection, with some color variation, but many other issues:

In the top left stamp, all looks normal except a small gap in the inner circle at the bottom left:

The top middle has an interesting top left corner, a left flower touches the outer line, and the right top 1 touches the outer circle.

The top right stamp has the same top left corner issue, but adds the top right corner. In addition, the entire inner circle is broken in multiple places.

The bottom left stamp has an odd bottom left corner, and doubled lines for most of the inner circle.

The bottom middle is similar to the Top Right in that it has a pulled upper right hand corner, but no issue on the top left corner. In addition, the dots in the outer frame are noticeably smaller throughout, especially at the top. Maybe just an overinked version of the top right?

And, finally, the bottom right which looks like a "tin shed" mess with multiple issues throughout.

I'd love to hear comments and see other examples.

Nice find ,stamps are cheap but if you mount them and do a write up on each plate flaw or variation . You will be adding value to your Queensland collection . I recently seen a Fiume collection which would get about $50.00 to $100.00 at auction of low value stamps and broken sets go for $500.00 because the previous collectors identified dozens and dozens of small flaws ,broken over prints and other minor but well written oddities on pages .
