Hi, I have some Canada blood donor clinic appointment advertising cards printed on postal stationery cards and I'm trying to identify them. I'm not sure how to distinguish mimeo cards from regular cards - e.g. UX96 vs. UX96a. Any help would be appreciated!
I'm not knowledgible on Post Cards and could not find anything in Unitrade or Robin Harris' Adminware website.
There isn't a dictionary definition for mimeo, but mimeograpgh says "A duplicator for making many copies that utilizes a stencil through which ink is pressed".
The paper is more soft and porous than the regular stock, cream colored and is more yellowish than regular paper. If the item has been rouletted, with or without precancel it is a mimeo item. Once you see one you will not forget it.
Thank you very much for your assistance. I have one card which is rouletted and the paper is as you describe, thicker and has a rougher appearance/texture, which I guess is what is meant by more "porous". The other cards I have are very smooth. Some of my "smooth" cards are a bit yellowed, but I think maybe that's just age.
