Reviving an older thread, but a relevant one. I, too, came upon, one of these and can now put it with my cover I found, that is postmarked a few days after the release of the 'Amazing Spiderman' comic 'Civil War' #533, that was released on August 1, 1996. That issue dealt with the consequences of Peter revealing his identity in the previous issue, and dealing with Tony Stark, who volunteered him for participation in something Spidey hadn't said he'd do, yet.

And I admit, this was another 'Oh, wow, hey, kewl.' moment, when finding the cover, and then later discovering the CVP. Which I did not know, until a few minutes ago, was called a CVP.

I don't have many CVP's, that is why this one stood out, among all the modern stamps I am going through, while taking a break from the triangles and colors of pink, red, carmine, carmine lake, rose carmine... classic stamps.

Appreciate the link and explanation that was posted, even if it was last year. It was as useful today,as it was when first posted.
