Unitrade - Breaking Up Sheets For More Value..??

1. the "Earth Sciences" pane of 16 illustrated at the start of this thread does not have a plate block in it (compare it to the illustration in the Unitrade).

2. in another thread, back on January 9, 2014, "Wert" started this exact same discussion. He was given advice then which he did not follow through with.

As was stated there: "Unitrade has been trying to watch for these kinds of pricing 'problems', and have fixed them as they are found/reported." In the catalogue, the single, pair/block/PB prices should add up to no more than a full pane price.

3. I give up. The constant rehashing of the same topics on this forum and the continual dissemination of incorrect information have taken the fun out of following this site.

It simply takes too much of my time to reply to the exact same questions over and over again, and correct the untruths.

As always, I will continue to respond to those who contact me directly. Enjoy your hobby.

Hi jogil. Thanks for stopping at the VGG yesterday. I just got home so enjoyed another 12 hours of philately and philatelic research. Your generous donation of the monograph on Stickney Press printing is truly appreciated and has now been catalogued and placed on the shelves for others to enjoy as well. Hi gportch. Thank you very much for your invitation to the VGG. I will email you via the profile email button on this website when I am able to visit the VGG again. It is usually a little hard to find an available public parking spot on the street. My booklets are based on articles that I have previously written in philatelic journals, but the booklets go into much more detail and have many more pages and pictures than the articles. I also usually end up donating several copies of each of them to different philatelic libraries even though I have printed very few copies of them in total. Thanks again.

WOW Mr.Editor packed up your stamps and albums and left the building. Sure showed us who is in charge. If it doesn't go your way it's the highway for you. If we were all as smart as you would like us to be we wouldn't need this forum to ask these questions that you find so frustrating to answer.

Wert if you and others like you stop asking questions how are others like me going to ever gain any knowledge about stamp collecting.

I for one like the questions and also the answers. Sometimes I shake my head but I keep coming back because sometimes there are some real gems and my knowledge base expands.

I think you are being very unfair in the comments about Robin Harris.

He went out of his way to answer questions here which I and I'm sure
most members here appreciated.
He didn't have to do it but he did.

And I don't blame him for finally giving up after a barrage of
trivial questions and being asked the same question over and over again.
Anyone gets tired of that after awhile.
I mean come on now, one could go through every stamp catalogue
ever published and find hundreds of errors and omissions.
Just look at Scotts.

He has a lot more patience in dealing with stuff here than I would ever have.

I'm just sorry that he longer is part of this forum and wish
he would still participate.

Robin is in my opinion a great asset to the stamp world and the forum..

serious collector...I hear what you are saying and in principle I agree with you..Robin is a very busy man and I believe he did try to (with patients) answer many questions, no matter how trivial they may seem to him...

Do I like the bashing he gave me..NO..But he has his rights to think whatever way he deems fit.

It is a shame that some one of his importance, no longer wants to be part of this forum..I wish him the best with a great catalogue.

Hope some day he realizes that we as you say serious collector are not experts in this great hobby, though some are..I am in it for the fun.

No hard feelings Robin if you are out there..i am just curious, that is my make up.

If anything I think might have been unreasonable not to expect an onslaught of questions by people who do not understand the hobby as an advanced philatelist and catalog editor does. It may be useful for someone with the energy and interest to complile a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions and answers list) based on questions posed, and quotations of answers given by Mr. Harris. It may prove educational for future members of the forum.

Come on Lithograving I was unfair with my comments. I was only telling it like it was. He packed up his toys and left the playground. He wasn't forced out. There were other ways he could have handled the question(s) that caused him to leave, that frustrated him to the point he had to get out of Dodge. He could have only responded to the questions he deemed to be worth his time. He didn't have to single out Wert...... back on January 9, 2014, "Wert" started this exact same discussion. I think he was tough on Wert with his comments.

He is the editor of a great Canadian catalogue, probably none better. He doesn't seem to be so great one on one. If anybody should receive an apology it should be Wert.

He is a guy with a great deal of philatelic knowledge that doesn't seem to be able to share this information with others who might not ask the right question.

In my opinion he could have responded in a far more positive way to Wert's question. I give him 1 star out of 10. To bad because he is a fountain of knowledge regarding Canadian stamps.
