Those "cinderellas" are listed in the Maury -Timbres de France- Specialized catalog. Listed in the section "Guerre de 1939-1945," Lyon 1-15 cataloged 30 Euros in the 2011 edition, but you are missing the key value, the 2F40c Petain, which cataloged 16 Euros. The remainder cataloged 1 Euro each (and you have an apparent color variety of the 1F50 not listed by Maury).
Really they are not cinderellas, but rather local issues produced as the different cities of France were liberated during the course of 1944-1945. |

adding to this topic, here are a couple more French 'Nice' locals. I do not have a Maury catalog so I don't know anything about them ... |

Quote: bottom of Page 970.1939-45 War section thanks ... I purchased the Kindle version of the 2018 catalog ... p. 970 is not the same and I could not see it in the War section at all. Perhaps they removed that listing. At any rate I was not pleased with the kindle version for a variety of reasons and returned for refund. I will keep my eyes open for a used 2016 catalog. |

Cinderellas, bogus issues,as you like it. "Stamps" which never had any postal use, most of them issued long after "Liberation" period. They're listed by Maury and maybe Scott? Yes,and by Yvert too. But I still am waiting for an actually used copy (not handstamped by the stamp maker himself) And how about double overprints, inverted overprints, and so on? They're all listed and valued by Maury and friends. Have a nice Halloween night!

I would have thought 1944 was about right for France Liberation or am I missing something? |
