They are from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea.

The UPU stamp is #1238, Scott listed only as a set (#1236-8). The glider is #1379, Scott listed only as a set (#1379-83).

The flower is a Hibiscus among others (Symbole for the korean people)

Daughter suggests that the liberator (NK) is being greeted with flowers by the liberated (SK).

MA East Asian Studies, but only reads Chinese, not Korean.
