I cannot find these overprinted Ukraine stamps listed in Scott. I am not sure what the symbolic meaning of the shield is either.



Any ideas?

The overprints are not provisional issues but private in origin.

If you search through the ebay listings you'll find many examples of these private issues; many of which are suspicious or outright bogus.

I think the shield is supposed to be that of the city of Sumy.
