Yes, I've got them. But I never opened the pack. I may even have posted them here once. If not, I can post the scan of the pack again. |

I had more than one pack, so I had scanned 2 of them together to show front and back: St. Vincent #1693-1704(5Aug1992) 2011 Scott catalog mint = $36 If I remember correctly, the same person promoting the infamous Sierra Leone "Face on Mars" stamps was also instrumental in getting this set produced -- Alan Feinstein; although as far as I know he did not attempt to promote the baseball card stamps as an "investment" opportunity. |

I'd like to see some of these "stamps" actually used on cover!!
There's a lot of interesting "sports paraphernalia" that comes from various islands of that region. For example, the Super Bowl program covers set St. Vincent #1400-1449 issued on 15Jan1991. I have to admit, I have an soft spot for oddball stamps. |

my friend has some stamps of the mosiac, pope, princess diana, titanic, and others in a set from those islands I was trying to sell for him-i had no idea on price was guessing, he was thinking high price and I was thinking a bit lower so I didn't disappoint him with a higher price listing, they didn't sell, but yes that area (island, country) has some interesting stuff. http://www.ebay.com/itm/23124324829....m1560.l2649 |

Yeah, I think your friend is finding out the hard way that they aren't worth nearly as much as he thinks. I didn't check all those sheets, but I'm pretty sure most of them catalog for ~$6+ each. So basically they are currently being listed at above catalog value. They are novelty items, and to this day I still do not know why they have such catalog values. As you have discovered, you can get these items at a significant discount from catalog. Something more reasonable would be $3- per sheet in the lot as a store price, or $2- per sheet in the lot as an auction starting price.
Again, I did not check each and every catalog price. Unless there is some reason he believes one or more of the sheets has a noticeably higher catalog value, they won't sell at $9 per sheet. My opinion.

he bought from mystic stamp company, I think he paid to high, and didn't realize the current market is a bit off those prices.
that set has another problem, the sheets are similar but slight color difference from different islands of pope and princess. who really needs many sheets of the pope one would have done well. I was advertising as his current status, SAINT PAUL stamps. |

yes I get it and I usually don't collect worldwide, I made an exception for these. on a cover I suppose a person could make a cache of it using it as a Cinderella type of deal, I am just going to put it in with my baseball cards and give my next of kin a heart attack when they flip through my belongings after I RIP.(the won't have a clue what they are)lol... |

Okay I get it now (just call me slow) I would guess that because there's no denomination shown (or Country of issue) that these would only be valid in St. Vincent West Indies & Grenadines?? I guess I might be a little 'narrow' sighted on definition of 'Postage Stamp'. As its been said, many times in postings, "I learned something new today". |

The stamps are valid for posting from St. Vincent and for use on international mail. What I showed was the front and back of the packet (i.e., it was sold like baseball card packets). The individual baseball card stamps are denominated $4. An example is shown below: I've never opened my packets, so I don't have a scan of the back of the liner showing the player statistics. The stamps were actually self-adhesives. |
