On the 4th of April, 1968, Martin Luther King jr. was murdered. 50 years ago today. Both drawings of his hands in this souvenir sheet honoring the 50th anniversary of his Nobel Peace Prize (1964) suggest thoughtful moments, but the way he folded his hands seemed unusual to me.  |
