I think there should be a whole new page devoted to color differences.
I always have a problem with different colors. These old Swede stamps have the same perforation...(with no post horn in back) One entry in Scott, but they seem so different.

I tried to post this...but is has to be under 100 kb...this is just ridiculous.

Use a picture host such as tinypic for scans larger than 100 kb - it's very easy to use. Then just paste the url of your image in your post.

If you won't allow a picture over 100kb in then you have to accept a link from photobucket...what is this all about?!@

Hi and welcome jol34, I have used the "Free Image Optimizer" on all of my pics. Located on left of page under tutorials, then uploading pictures. It's a blue link. It allows you to change the size. Unless you really need to get certain details it works great for basic color identification. Gary

This is under 100kb and shows the color differences between GB stamps. There are three stamps there just as an example but you could post each stamp individually with each around the 100kb mark.

Thank you all for advice. How do you post a picture in the reply? I rescanned the stamps at a lower resolution and got under the 100kbs, but I can't see a button to upload pic.

Once you get it under the 100kb,just right click on the pic that's been optimized and "save image as" to your desktop so you can find it easier, then reply to or start a new topic and near the bottom is a button to upload to your post. Gary
