well spotted e-rock-in
With Silber Groschen currency it is definitely prussia/north Germany. Potentially a rare and valuable stamp... in good condition.

It could be the unwatermarked 1858-60 stamp as I believe I can see a checked background i.e. not solid. Someone with the ability to adjust contrast etc in the scan might see better.

Thank you so much. It is Scott 6c. No watermark, thin paper. I just couldn't place it. Again thank you very much.

This is the best I can get from the posted scan. Colour is exaggerated. Hope it helps.

My father-in -law has a vast collection of German states. I remember him saying that anything in silber groschen currency is worth asecond look as some can be rarer than others. Dunno if that is the case with the One Silber Groschen stamp above. I hope to inherit his German States one day...he currently lives in Brazil with his valuables stored in a container. Despite him being over eighty I seem no nearer to my (possible) inheritance. I have resorted to encouraging him to take long cliff-top walks and develop his interest in collecting wild mushrooms.
