This whole thread is one confusing mess... and I don't think all of it is the seller's fault...

Wert, Wert, Wert. You got your money back!
You slipped ebay a fake email address!
You're lucky to be alive!

SAK, it was ebay that asked me to put in a fake email while I was on the phone with them..Not my idea, ok

Really revenuecollector..!..Are you saying it is my fault when the seller took my money and emailed me that they had no record of my tranaction and then..then she put the price from $12.16 to $112.16 shortly after...Then a few days after the sale was closed and had to struggle with paypal to get my money back..And you think it was MY fault..??

Anyways..I will not deal with that seller any more.

Wert, from one of your earlier posts, ebay "said my 2 accounts interfere with each other."

That's not the seller's fault. The seller probably saw the payment as "Pending" and if that was the case, the seller was stuck waiting for the transaction to be completed, and would've been just as frustrated as you, nothing she could do about it either, she would have to wait for you and eBay/PayPal to sort it out, because that's where the bottleneck was.

DuncanDoenitz...I see what you are saying, and I think you may be right..Maybe it wasn't 100% the fault of the seller...Just that is was only my second experience buying something on ebay and it bothered me...I have bought (or tried..haha) another item from another seller with 100% positive feedback and will wait to see what happens..Thanks.

Wert, you're on the right track now!

Don't be discouraged - I write a lot of negative things about ebay, but still make at least 80% of my hobby purchases there. That's because the SELLERS can be really great.

One bit of advice, if it's not too late... don't give PayPal access to your bank account (PayPal will try hard to get that access), give them a credit card number instead. That way if you have a problem, you will have the option of trying to get a refund from the credit card company.

I've never had to do that, but others have, and I came close at least once.

PayPal billed me three times for the same transaction once, and after struggling with them they gave me a refund - for ONE purchase. After that, they seemed to think I was fighting for an extra refund, so it got pretty messy, but they finally conceded that they were wrong.

And an ebay coin seller claimed I didn't pay him $168.00 and when I showed him proof that I did, he apologized and said he'd hold up shipping the item so I could pick out additional coins from him at a discount to make up for the mistake! That was scary but I eventually got the coin. The seller was NARU'ed shortly after that, Not A Registered User, which usually means "kicked off ebay".

But hundreds of quick and easy transactions keep me coming back.
