Now that Linn's is using Olive Software with a really nice tablet interface and the ability to downloads PDFs of issues, has anyone gone back to Linn's and resubscribed?

I'm quite impressed with the new format. Now that they put the old issues back up on their site under the Mattercast software, you can really see how much better the new stuff is.

I still receive the printed Linn's, but for the last couple months, I have been reading the online (Olive) version.

I probably won't try to change my existing subscription, but when it expires, I will renew with the "online only" option.

P.S. ... Not sure who noticed, but starting last week, new issues are now available on Saturday. The printed issues are still "Monday" dates.

I hadn't let my subscription lapsed, but I want to second how much I like the new mobile interface. I never particularly cared for viewing Linn's on a laptop, but it is very convenient on my iPad. As I have complained though in other forums, I don't like how the software handles embedded webpage links to ads. No matter how careful I try to be, a couple of times an issue I manage to inadvertently activate a link when I'm just trying to go to the next page.

I dislike that one cannot expand the ads to read in a larger text format such as you can for articles. Also, the ads take you to the ad'a website.

I encourage anyone who likes the new software to send praise to Linn's and tell them you're keeping your subscription. Maybe it will encourage them to speed up their next attempt at electronic catalogs.

I like the new digital version. Olive is a lot more tablet/mobile friendly than what they had before. That said, I still spend the bulk of my Linn's time with print.
