The Fish-hook G image is incorrect. It is actually a Blunt G.
I remember seeing that and being confused by it.
The Fish-hook G has no real Serif on the top of the G. Sorry, I don't have an image handy.
It is the most expensive and rare. Occurs only on the 50c Textile stamp as far as I can recall.

Here is a close-up of the Fish Hook G (note the top). Your second scan is an interesting fake overprint. |

eDadeo - I agree that the 50 cent flying G is a fake. I forgot that I had made that one myself many years ago for my own reference. If I had blown it up before posting, I would have seen it and stated that it is a fake. Thanks for mentioning it.
CanadaStamp - I bow to the much superior knowledge of Mr. Robin Harris, the Editor of Unitrade. |

Actually he seems to as my name does appear in the ILLUSTRATION CREDITS section of Unitrade. |

I've seen similar on other overprinted stamps. Happens sometimes I guess with a piece of hair, thread, or ink debris. It will be unique I'm pretty sure. |

For more information on how the different "G" official overprinted letters look like, see the book 1952-53 Karsh 1954-62 Wilding 1962-66 Cameo Definitives, by D. Robin Harris, page 26.
