I currently use Super Safe first day cover albums for my collection, but I have now used all the ones I had. Unfortunately, they seem to have tripled (or more!) in price from the last time I bought them (they are now selling for upwards of $40). Does anyone know of a source for reasonably priced super safe albums? I used to pay around $15 each. Barring that, are the Scott FDC albums similar in quality?
I don't collect FDCs, but $40 seems about average nowadays for a stamp album binder of reasonable quality. I use Stanley Gibbons 22 ring handmade Windsor Elite binders which run out at about $65 and Frank Godden Popular 2 post binders which can only be found used now at anything from $45 to $100. They are a helpful bunch here and no doubt someone will be along to help you more specifically on FDC albums.
Super Safe First Day Cover Albums and Scott First Day Cover Albums appear similar, if not the same. The various items available are shown here, most of which are in the $22 to $25 range in price:
