have always collected used stamps and have my album for the main collection and use 102 cards for the many extras I come across. Recently I have come into numerous mint stamps many are common so not to worried about it, but some stamps and sets $25 - $100+.

Just wondering how safe are 102 cards for mint stamps with the understanding that temperature and humidity are normal. I see dealers use them at shows so am thinking they should be ok. Or should I purchase stock books etc. Thanks. Just new to storing mint stamps.

Thanks,
Richard

For higher-end or mint stamps, I would recommend Lindner or Leuchturm archival plastic approval cards, and for additional protection, add clear archival sleeves to put the approval cards into. That's how I store all my certed items.

I use 102 cards for over 20 years and never had a problem . Somebody should do study on them ,not on safety of content but that your stamps have a better return on value if they are in 102 cards over albums or stock books .

Nice approval cards shown.

The humidity is also a factor and the squishing together of too many approval or 102 cards world make a difference also.
