Howdy landoquakes, from NM. I see that you have garnered no comments, so I'll say thanks for the post! But who in there right mind would travel to MN in October to attend anything that has the words : "swimming pool" in it? Burrrrrr...
Just thinking about the words swimming pool in Oct in MN makes me quiver and shiver all the way to me liver!
We see a lot of Snowbirds here in NM form Canada, staying or passing thru to warmer winter retreats.
PS:How many quakes does it take to make one of your favorite stamp to fall off the table, flutter, flip flop downwards and get lost in a trash can, book, under the desk, etc?
Don't worry, this pool only has stamps, not water! Here's a photo of last years' pool. There will be more this year. One guy spent an hour digging through it last year. I think we will have around 12 dealers or so. There will be lots of new covers for a dollar each for those cover hounds out there.
As for losing stamps, wind is my greatest enemy when sorting stamps in the passenger seat of the car...
Some more details about Metropex. At the same time the show is going on Bel Aire stamp and coin will be open. They are located only one mile from the show and Bel Aire is one of the only walk in stamp stores in Minnesota and they have quite a bit in their stamp basement. http://www.belairestamp.com/
Pete, I will be there at 10:00 today. I have already told everyone that I am leaving the office early today,(5 hours early!). I can help with the cover table if needed after I do a little shopping first. I have already talked to three of the dealers and they are bringing some stuff for me. I am anticipating a good show. I know a few of the dealers are bringing stuff that is not the same old tired stuff they drag from show to show and we have a few that don't do many shows any more. I don't know who organizes the dealers these days since Tom's passing, but the early buzz is this will be a good group. Pat
