Conrad Nagel was one the silent movie stars who managed the transition to "The Talkies". Handsome, played male lead opposite many of Hollywood's foxy ladies, and earned the nickname "the Prince Consort". He was never a big star, but was popular and always in work. At one time he made 31 pictures in 24 months. I'd like to see any of today's stars manage that piece of business. Often he and his wife would go out to see a movie only to return home because all the movie theatres were showing pictures that he was appearing in.
