Eyesonwall, this is also an excellent point, and it did occur to me that the bookkeeping would be a a little impracticle. If the .25 to 1.00 items were grouped as a minimum of say 5 items, that might work. Still, that may be a little too labor intensive to work on a large scale.

I think the elusive/under-catalogued cheap stamps will always be tough to find. They tend to be sold in lots where the seller can dispose of the common stuff along with a "harder to find" item or two.

One of the other overlooked benefits of being able to buy from the APS Stamp Store is that every single seller is an APS member so the sale is underwritten by APS both in terms of who is selling and what you are buying. That alone makes the $45 membership worthwhile, but I digress.

Though I don't personally sell through either the APS StampStore or the circuits, it seems to me that circuits are the appropriate method of selling less expensive items - less overhead and a low-price book can be mixed with higher priced material to accommodate buyers with different preferences.

APS StampStore is a good choice for people who don't want to worry about keeping inventory organized and to process orders as they come in, and it's an ideal way to aggregate shipping from multiple sellers. Shipping is high if you're only buying one or two items, but if you buy 10 or 12 items (from 5 or 6 different sellers) you are certainly coming out ahead.

I've sold through both the APS sales books and StampStore. I highly recommend both. Sales books work well for more inexpensive material and StampStore handles higher priced material. My only selling complaint is that the sales books are very labor intensive. For the buyer, the high postage costs of receiving and forwarding the sales book circuit is a barrier.

I highly agree with this, and this is way I stopped receiving circuits after a few months of getting them.
