Hi all. I just picked up more loaner stamps from my local stamp store. This time it is all loose stamps in a LARGE plastic bag. I found this and some other goodies so far. I was just wondering why the stamp is on print? It is not newspaper, but is thicker, maybe like a card. Just thought it was strange and am hoping someone will have an idea.(wish I could speak German)
Here is the front

and here is the back

Thanks in advance for any input!
rockinrobin....and the winds are blowing at about 60-65 mph right now...just so you know why I may not be back on tonight

It looks to me like a Registration Card from a parcel or something.

It is, it's a piece of a "Paketkarte" - parcel card.

Thanks WpgLwr and Drudenfus. I will mount it in my homemade Germany album with this information.

Mystery solved

Isn't it great to have such a diverse group. I have come across some of these myself and wondered what they were.

I used to have an entire Paketkarte at one time. It was from around 1948 or so and was franked with three of the 80pf definitives, blue-gray, showing a worker with a hammer on his shoulder. I don't know what happened to it, though.

Seems to me that the entires would be interesting to collect now that you mention it. Are these easy to find where you are, Drudenfus?

I don't know I've never searched for them. I only have two New Zealand ones, that I got through trading/swapping.

In March there's a local stamp "show" (is this correct? Just a day where all the local collectors meet). If you're interested in such cards I'll take a note and have a look if I can find any.
