Was searching around for information about Brazil watermarks and happened upon a fantastic site for the Brazil collector.

http://www.philatecnica.com/

They have a free printable album in Portuguese and they are working on an English version. Also a catalog with pictures in color.

Vac-man -------Good luck with the watermarks of Brazil , I spend a year of my life sorting and mounting them ,it is a huge task After I finished the project I put the album away and never touch them again . Some can't be positive I.D. to which watermark ,drives the person nuts .

I know what you mean. Up until now I have only been using the watermark examples from my scott's catalog. There is a pretty good section of examples of watermarks at this site and I know I will need to revisit my attempts at identification over the fall and winter using this new information.

Same for me. I find the watermarks on the stamps of Brazil and Argentina very difficult and tiresome to decipher.

Really for my own education, I did a blog post on identifying the various watermarks for the Brazil 1918-41 stamps.

I remember all the hours I spend identifying watermarks on Brazil definitives and sometime I was not sure. It was no fun and more like a job than a hobby.
