Searching through a lot of stamps, I found this one..Any information on it? I like the green color. What about the overprint? Some type of stamp issued during an Olympic event? Thanks for your help in advance.

Was this an older reissued Tonga stamp?

This stamp was part of a set which was reissued in new colours and imperf in 1969. Your stamp is SG 266, priced at 15p in the 2014 Gibbons Commonwealth & British Empire 1840-1970 catalogue.

That version of Gibbons is invaluable if you're going to be looking at many pre-1970 British Commonwealth stamps. Pick up the most recent edition you can find, because they keep on adding new listings for tricky little things like inverted watermarks (which can make a big difference to the value of stamps) and telegraph stamps.

Very good! Do they sell Gibbons at Barnes and Noble? Or better off ordering? I just read a little bit about the inverted watermarks. Very interesting. Thank you much.

Maverickx, they do not have stuff like that at B&N. Why don't you check ebay? Again, like with the Scott catalog, try finding one a couple of years old. It won't set you back a mint! Good luck,

Peter
