Hi guys (tommy- haha)...There are extra lines at the bottom of this stamp...Almost looks like an old border....Any ideas what may have caused it..??

It is the 12cent Queen Victoria stamp, pale red brown on white or pelure paper...

EKU is Dec 27, 1865 or 1870 for white paper version (more common)

Unitrade/Scott is 28 or 28a, (not 29)

I have not a clue about the lines...it is interesting...might be guide markings from printing...

Ya tommy...I am just trying to get my head around NFLD, Nova Scotia, etc stamps...Could be printers guidelines, but why hasn't some one posted something like this before..weird..

I presume its # 28 and not 28a...?

look at the picture below...The difference from perf on top and bottom are the same, so no extra paper to trim off after printing to hide printers alignment marks...Does that make sense..??
